About this event
ME STRONG is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to supporting the friends, families and individuals battling cancer. ME STRONG began the fall of 2011 when a group of four friends organized a 5k in honor of their close friend Linda (Goldthwait) Ryan. Linda had just completed her first marathon when a few weeks later she was diagnosed with recurrent cervical cancer. It was Linda’s positive attitude and commitment to healthy living while battling cancer that inspired her friends to organize an event that reflected her strong spirit in faith, body, and mind.

Lexington resident and LHS classmate, Sara Mahlowitz Lane, followed ME STRONG's efforts and wanted to bring the positive message of facing cancer with health, laughter, and friendship to Greater Boston.

September 26, 2015 will mark the 3rd Annual ME STRONG 5k in Lexington MA. Funds raised in Lexington are used to help people in the Greater Boston area who are battling cancer and also help fund a research grant through the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Today Linda is healthy and is living with no evidence of cancer.

ME STRONG continues to grow and host a variety of types of events across the country. The ME STRONG Community believes in spreading happiness by supporting individuals battling cancer through health, laughter, and friendship.

Registration Information
Online registration will close on Wednesday, September 23rd.
Number pickup and registration will be held Friday, September 25th, Greater Boston Running Company, 1728 Mass. Ave, Lexington, 4:30-7:00 p.m. Packet pickup and race-day registration will also be available Saturday, September 26th, Lexington High School, 251 Waltham Street, Lexington (near the field house), 6:45-8:15 a.m.
Race Entry Fees
  • through July 7, 2015 - $25
  • July 8 - August 31 - $30
  • August 31 - September 25th - $35
  • Race Day Registration - $40
  • Register by September 7th , 2015 to be guaranteed a race shirt.
